Take on the Amazing Northampton Run 2025 – Sign Up Now!

Sunday 14th September 2025 get ready for the Amazing Northampton Run – a thrilling event with options for everyone!

  • Conquer the full 13.1-mile half marathon

  • Team up with friends for the 3-person relay

  • Take on the 3.3-mile race

Whether you’re running the full half marathon course, splitting the challenge with your relay team members, or going for a shorter 3.3-mile route, this event promises an unforgettable day of fun, fitness, and achievement!

Why You’ll Love the Amazing Northampton Run:

  • A Great Route: Starting in the iconic Market Square, you’ll race downhill over South Bridge, past major sports venues like Sixfields Stadium (football), Franklin’s Gardens (rugby), and The County Ground (cricket), plus enjoy the beauty of three stunning parks and the University campus.

  • Safe & Supported: The course is well-marked, marshalled, and has mile markers to the finish line. We’ve got four water stations at 3-mile intervals to keep you hydrated with water in recyclable cups.

  • Awesome Prizes: Everyone gets a medal and t-shirt – because every runner is a winner and of course, we've also prizes to the top 3 male and female finishers too.

  • Pacing for Everyone: Want to smash your PB or just finish strong? We’ve got pacers to guide you through the race, from 1:30 to 3:00 hours. You won’t be alone out there – we’ll help you hit your target.

  • Course Records
    • Male record –  Ben Musgrove – 1:11:45  (2023)
    • Female record – Kelly Barnett – 1:25:28 (2023)

  • Race Day Fun: We want you to enjoy the day, so feel free to run in fancy dress – we’ve had Batman and even the Gruffalo before! You can also look forward to sports massages at the end, with Move4Physio helping you recover.

  • Cut-Off Time: Don’t worry about being left behind – the race has a 3-hour cut-off, so whether you’re speedy or taking it slow, we’ve got you covered.

  • Bag Drop: Need somewhere to store your stuff? We’ve got a secure bag drop at the start/finish, and we’ll collect any pre-race clothing you want to donate to charity.

  • Toilets & Facilities: You’ll find toilets at the start/finish and mile 8 in Abington Park, so you can focus on the run, not looking for a loo.

  • Convenience: With over 2,000 parking spaces in the town centre, you won’t have to stress about where to park. And don’t worry about accommodation – we’ve got a deal with the Mercure Northampton Hotel, and there are plenty of other places to stay close by.
