Go Beyond Events
Gails Bakery, 3 Canalside walk, Paddington, London, W2 1LA
It’s time to put the fun back into running!
Welcome to Go Beyond Challenge’s ‘Going Round in Circles’ – the London Circle Line Challenge. As the name suggests, the aim is to run between every underground station on the Circle Line (the yellow one!) – all 27 of them.
Entrants can take part as a pairs relay team of two or individually if they fancy a bigger challenge. The race will start at the Gails Bakery next to Paddington Station, where runners will be able to collect their race number and tracker.
You will then set off either on an anticlockwise or clockwise run around the Central Line, collecting a selfie – as proof – at each of the 27 stations.
If you are in a pairs relay team, one runner will go to the Tube Station and grab a daily travel card and travel to your next meeting/swapover point on the Circle Line train while the other will run to meet you there. It’s then time to swap the tracker (your baton) for the travel card and agree on your next relay swapover/meeting point.
The distance between stations varies from 0.2 miles to 1.2 miles. The overall distance to run will be around 16 miles. There are no checkpoints, but plenty of shops! If you are injured or have had enough, then you can grab the tube back to the start.
There will be a special Circle Line Challenge medal for all finishers and the chance to grab a cake and a coffee as we finish in the bakery.
Course Description
The event will be run in either a clockwise or anticlockwise direction (click for the station list and distances), with entrants deciding on the day which way they will go.
The course includes 27 stations on the original Circle Line in central London. The overall distance is around 16 miles, depending on the route you take!
You will need to take a selfie at each station to prove your visit – we can check these on your phone at the finish.

The course isn’t marked and requires some navigation. We provide a tracker with an indicative route and a sheet with the what3words location for each station – how you get there is up to you!
