Dirt Run Series 2027

Two races. One winter trail challenge. Properly muddy, properly good.

A winter trail running treat – uphill!

Formerly the Wellingborough Multi Terrain Series, the Dirt Run Series returns with two brilliant off-road races across Northamptonshire. Whether you’re stepping off the tarmac for the first time or chasing a hard effort on testing terrain, this two-race series has something for everyone.

Round 1 – Sunday 24th January 2027, Irchester Country Park, Gipsy Lane, Irchester, NN29 7DL
Round 2 – Sunday 21st February 2027, Brigstock Country Park, Lyveden Road, Brigstock, NN14 3HS

Round 1: Irchester Country Park - Sunday 24th January 2027
Back in its uphill format, this year’s course runs in the opposite direction to 2025 – expect a tougher, more rewarding challenge.
• 5K – 1 lap
10K – 2 laps
15K – 3 laps
All runners start together

Course details:
A varied multi-terrain route through the Jurassic landscape. For 10K and 15K runners, an additional trail section is included on later laps to add variety and challenge.

You can switch distance on the day if needed – speak to the registration team (upgrades require cash payment).

Round 2: Brigstock Country Park - Sunday 21st February 2027
7.5K – out-and-back loop
15K – extended route out towards Wadenhoe

A standout feature is passing Lyveden New Bield, a striking Elizabethan lodge set within beautiful countryside, offering a unique and memorable running experience.
